You have to hold down shift,ctrl,c to get the cheat box then you type in the box maxmotives and that should work! If it did not work your game might have a glitch in it or something!

If you are talking about the sims 2 for the pc, then you can press ctrl alt shift at the same time to bring up the cheat window. Afterwards you can type in maxmotives and then press enter!
