Well, at level 10 thee highest paying job is athletic, at 3,003 a day, the days a week which is 9,009 a week! (An easy way to get to level 10 is to
1) Press Ctrl & Shift, then C
2) A bar should come up, type in boolprop testingcheatsenabled true - with all the spaces!
3) Press shift and click on the newpaper, it should say something about setting your job level, click that and - voila!)
The highest paying job on level 1 is Military, as a recruit for 350 a day, but if you have Sims 2 University expansion pack, it's Show Business as a Screen Test Stand-In for 420 a day!
