In my case I would have different types of pokemon, like in my team I have:Dragonite-Fly,Dragon Rush,Draco Meteor,Outrage:Typlosion-Fire Blast,Eruption,Flamethrower,Focus Blast:Pikachu-Volt tackle(got it from a friend),Thunderbolt,Iron Tail,Agility:Blastoise-Hydro Cannon,Hydro Pump,Skull Bash, Withdraw:Sceptile-Leaf Blade(Favorite Move),Leaf Storm,Solarbeam,Agility:(It was a very hard decision for me so i just use both)Staravia-Close Combat,Brave Bird,Fly,Aerial Ace OR Tyrantitar-Earthquake,Stone Edge,Rock Slide,Crunch
Dragonite- You can get a dratini from a guy at the dragon den in Blacthorn City and give it the Exp share
Typlosion- Pick Cyndaquil as your starter
Pikachu- (I got mine from a trade) but you can get a pikachu by defeating Lt. Surge for the 2nd time and just keep training but it will not learn Volt tackle
Blastoise-Pick up a squirtle from Prof. Oak after defeating Red
Sceptile-Select the Green stone or shard(i forgot what its called) but something with the word green in it from steve after talking to him in pewter city then seeing him Silph Co
Staravia-I got a starly from a tree when you barely enter Pewter City from Viridian City ther will be a gap between a white fence and four trees go to the last tree and use headbutt( it took me three times to get a starly)and after you get a starly keep training it and you will be amased at how much it will help you
Tyrantitar-I caught a Larvitar at Mt Silver and trained it and was shocked with the results of this pokemon. Hope this helped:)
