THE answer to power line 2 is:321123
Not exactly. You can proceed from Main Phase 1 to the End Phase if you don't wish to have a battle phase, that is valid. You will skip the Battle Phase and Main Phase 2. But if you DO have a Battle Phase, then you must also have a Main Phase 2. A turn player can ask the opponent if it's ok to move to the end phase from the battle phase if he doesn't want to use Main Phase 2. That allows the opponent opportunity to say no, if they wished to activate something there. But the phase is not being skipped, in the same sense as the example above.

their really isn't a big difference between them except for the fact in Main Phase 2 you can't attack again if you are planning on setting Spell [S]/ Trap [T] cards face-up or face-down. what i mean is - Draw Phase - Main Phase 1 - Battle Phase - Main Phase 2 - End Phase during Main Phase 1 you can set your s/t cards and launch you attack in your battle phase. Main Phase 2 if you can set more s/t cards after your done setting the amount you want to set you'll probably have to end your turn.
