It was opened in 2003 by Spring Harvest, a leading UK Christian charity, to provide a high quality holiday park that also meets the spiritual needs of Christians. Le Pas Opton is located 5km from the Atlantic coast and the town of St Gilles Croix du Vie. Accommodation ranges from villas sleeping up to 12 people, well-appointed mobile homes and fixed tents to the option of bring-your-own emplacements. What distinguishes Spring Harvest Holidays' offering from other holiday parks is its foundation in, and provision for, those who follow the Christian faith. Each week, a well-known speaker leads a daily, morning session of Bible Study and evening time of worship. This is entirely optional, recognising that it's not for all guests nor is it the only option on site for spiritual refreshment and restoration. A sense of relaxed community builds through the week, culminating in an all-age service & street party barbecue on the Sunday.
