gnar wall-e
While the term 'gnar' may get used a lot by freeskiiers, it isn't a term exclusive to skiing.Urban Dictionary gives it two meanings:1. A shortened version of the word gnarly, meaning high on the scale of dangerousness and coolness. Often used among the skateboard crowd"That switch heelflip was gnar"2. Snow. The white stuff. You like it."Lets shread the gnar"These are both very applicable to skiing, but it's a term also used in other 'extreme' sports.
Gnar stands for Gonkey's Numerical assessment of Rad. Invented by Shane McConkey, this is like a game that is played on ski slopes. The term Gnar is used by skaters, skiers, and surfers, or any sport in which something might be radical. For more info on the original watch "The Game of G.N.A.R." at unofficialnetworks.com or read the rules in the book Squallywood.
Not this week but hopefully soon. Shred the gnar

I don't know the slang term for a guitar but the slang term for playing the guitar is "shredding the gnar" so I'd imagine that the slang term is gnar.
What seems to happen is when you turn pro is you chill and drink a lot more. Let the little kids take care of the gnar stuff for you.
The word your looking for is "gnar" or "gnarly". It comes from a snowboarding video self titled as GNAR which was made by Robb Gaffney in memory of skier Shane McConkey. It stands for Gaffneys Numerical Assessment of Radness. The idea behind the video was that people were taking snowsports too seriously and so to make fun of those people, Shane McConkey, Robb Gaffney's good friend would pretend he was really obsessed with being better than everyone. He and Shane wrote a book called "squawliwood" named after his home mountain of squaw and gave certain runs and tricks a certain number of points. So a particularly difficult run would be a gnarly one.Now shredding gnarly means you did something perfectly, really cool or just plain crazy. For those of you who are in to doing really cool but stupid stuff. Check out GNAR and try to get a game going on your mountain ANSWER: To go big, never stop or give up; accept the reality that anything is possible, and everything can be accomplished if you set your mind to it. OR, to snowboard to one's fullest potential on difficult or challenging terrain.
