There is no only one way to charge it and that is with a battery charger. A 15 amp battery charger will charge it about as fast as it needs to be charged.

if it wont charge, it could be the charger itself or the port on the laptop. Verify that the charge works on another computer if you can. If not, i would start with the charger as it can be cheaper then a new motherboard or a new laptop. But try to find a way to test it first.

"you can charge it by the wifi connection you use to by songs or you can" YOU CAN NOT, repeat NOT charge an ipod touch over wifi, it simply is not possible. This bits alright though.
