No you cant because they'd get lost in the road by mistake and get squished and don't even think about getting them a leash and harness! holly xYes you can!, I used to have a hamster called cookie and two guinipigs.. we had this open rabbit hutch and we put all 3 of them in there.. Cookie loved it.. But he nearly dug his way out.. under the hatch soo be careful.. I wouldn't take them out in winter.. we took cookie our in summer.. I have another one now.. Sweetie i havent taken her outside yet but i will do in summer :) Hope i helped. x (By the way i have had 15 hamsters.. i know what im talking about!!)Yes, you can. Like Holly says, don't bother with a leash and harness -- depending on how tight you put them on, they either slip right off, or cause the hamster a lot of unnecessary discomfort or even pain. Wait until it's a dry, warm day; golden hamsters are desert animals and easily get sick in wet or cold conditions. You'll want to find a safe place. Not too close to a road, no other animals around (pets or wild), and no plants that are hamster-poisonous or treated with chemicals. So ideally, a nice calm patch of grass, clover, dandelions, daisies, etc. (note that buttercups are poisonous for hammies). Check for, and clear out any hazards in the area. Then enclose it using a small animal pen (you can make your own fence, but check for gaps). Even in the fenced-in area, you'll need to watch her at all times, since she could dig under the fence, climb over it, or even break it. Every 20 mins or so, take the hamster back to her cage. If she wants to go out again right away, she'll probably hop back into your hand, but if you leave her out there for a long time, she can get uncomfortable/tired, and has no way of letting you know she wants to go home. Have fun. :) -Zyzz
