The Pokemon that uses endure will always be left with at least 1 HP after being hit by an attack immediately after. Endure is a higher priority move, which means it usually goes first too. It helps if you know that the next attack is going to be really painful, or if you also have Reversal or Flail in your movelist because they do more damage when you have less HP.

e.g. A Heracross that knows Endure and Reversal, and has a high speed stat would be hard to beat. Because it gets STAB, then at 1 HP it can use Reversal with 300 Attack Power (as long as it gets to go first). The way to beat this is to poison, burn or set up a damaging weather effect (like hail or sandstorm).
