Simply type their name after (or press tab after typing a couple letters of their name). /gamemode creative Notch if you wanted Notch to be in creative. Lastly, you can select the gamemode to creative before you create a world in singleplayer.
well you can get all different cheats for it when you get all the codes then just type the codes in the cheats & modes center on the game.
There are two ways to do this, depending on which mode you're on. If you're on singeplayer and have cheats enabled, you can type "/gamemode survival" (without quotation, including the slash) and you will be in creative. However, if you do not have Cheats enabled, there is a tool for changing game modes - see the related links for the MinecraftForum link. you have to download it but in a game store you can get the game or you can go on google and type in minecraft and download it on there but it costs $20.

If you mean similar to the game Minecraft then try Ace of Spades. It's a free game that's still in development and based on Minecraft In it everything's made of blocks, but it's a warfare type game with guns and grenades. Also, you can only play online.

To change the difficulty on minecraft, go to the options menu, and click on the difficulty, normally you will start on easy, but you can change it to medium - more monsters, less health, hard - lots of monsters, less health, less item durability or peaceful - no monsters, health regenerates, items last longer.
