You go to mount silver and fight ash with his very, very high level Pokemon. If you want to beat him you should have all your team members at minimum of of lv.70. Beyond that- there isn't much else.
First of all his name is Red not Ash, and you don't just have to go fight him you could: go catch the three legendary dogs/birds/kyogre/grodon/mewtwo/dialga/palkia/girantina/latias/Latios. if you have not got them, complete the pokedex (i know what your thinking ''impossible''), re-challenge the Elite four, Fight with your rival against Lance and Clair, rematch the gym leaders in the fighting dojo in saffron city (next to the gym).
