Lets pretend you have a baby Chao.You turned it white with a hero character.then you gave it swim animals.then it grew up.now its a hero swim chao.then you gave it handful of swimming animals after it grew and now it looks different than before.ok,so its a hero swim chao.but since you gave it swim animals,it now becomes a hero swim swim chao.its the same for the dark run run chao,too.

This really depends. Both the cheetah and the rabbit grant a Chao a 40% increase in run experience. In this case, you'd have to look at what else you'd gain and what you might potentially lose in your Chao between these two animals. The cheetah will also grant 8% experience in Power, but will penalize your Chao 8% each in Fly and Swim. The rabbit, on the other hand, grants the same 40% Run boost as the cheetah, but will not penalize or boost your swim, and increase Fly by 8%. But if you wanted your Chao to be good with Power, the rabbit will penalize it by 16%! For most races I would probably actually go with the rabbit, since flying and swimming are usually more important than power, which is only really tested in a few races per category, but good flying and swimming combined with high running scores will get your Chao ahead, and in some cases, a good fly trait will decrease the amount of time your Chao will have his Power tested.

The easiest way is to raise the chao with hero characters (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles) and don't give it any animals or chaos drives and when it evolves it will be a hero stamina (or 'none') chao. Then give the chao almost nothing (apart from food) other than swim animals (seal, otter, penguin) or yellow chaos drives. It will gradually change in looks and become a hero stamina swim.

Update: so I was using this glitch for infinite animals on sonic adventure 2, and I got my chao's swimming level to 99, but it wasn't old enough to do a second evolution. Can I just keep giving it swimming animals and make it a swim/swim Chao? Or will I have to choose something else?
