They Told Him Don't You Ever Come Around Here
Don't Wanna See Your Face, You Better Disappear
The Fire's In Their Eyes And Their Words Are Really Clear
So Beat It, Just Beat It
[2nd Verse]
You Better Run, You Better Do What You Can
Don't Wanna See No Blood, Don't Be A Macho Man
You Wanna Be Tough, Better Do What You Can
So Beat It, But You Wanna Be Bad
[Chorus]
Just Beat It, Beat It, Beat It, Beat It
No One Wants To Be Defeated
Showin' How Funky Strong Is Your Fight
It Doesn't Matter Who's Wrong Or Right
Just Beat It, Beat It
Just Beat It, Beat It
Just Beat It, Beat It
Just Beat It, Beat It
[3rd Verse]
They're Out To Get You, Better Leave While You Can
Don't Wanna Be A Boy, You Wanna Be A Man
You Wanna Stay Alive, Better Do What You Can
So Beat It, Just Beat It
[4th Verse]
You Have To Show Them That You're Really Not Scared
You're Playin' With Your Life, This Ain't No Truth Or Dare
They'll Kick You, Then They Beat You,
Then They'll Tell You It's Fair
So Beat It, But You Wanna Be Bad
[Chorus]
Just Beat It, Beat It, Beat It, Beat It
No One Wants To Be Defeated
Showin' How Funky Strong Is Your Fight
It Doesn't Matter Who's Wrong Or Right
[Chorus]
Just Beat It, Beat It, Beat It, Beat It
No One Wants To Be Defeated
Showin' How Funky Strong Is Your Fight
It Doesn't Matter Who's Wrong Or Right
Just Beat It, Beat It, Beat It, Beat It, Beat It
[Chorus]
Beat It, Beat It, Beat It, Beat It
No One Wants To Be Defeated
Showin' How Funky Strong Is Your Fight
It Doesn't Matter Who's Wrong Or Right
[Chorus]
Just Beat It, Beat It, Beat It, Beat It
No One Wants To Be Defeated
Showin' How Funky Strong Is Your Fight
It Doesn't Matter Who's Wrong Or Who's Right
[Chorus]
Just Beat It, Beat It, Beat It, Beat It

It may vary (and probably does) from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, and it may amount to more than simply a fine. If you disobey a jury summons you are disobeying a court summons. There are instances where judges have sent the Sheriff to take jury shirkers into immediate custody and bring them before the court.
Yes, but if you join now you may be spared the agonizing suffering that awaits all shirkers. Seriously, if they still existed, what would be the point of eliminating such a large number of their drones? No. If 80% of the world's population were to die, likely as not the rest would soon follow because of the disruption, disease, and environmental destruction that would result.

At last! An intelligent question. Here is how I see it: The majority of people on here are trying to shirk on their homework by getting someone else to answer the Shakespeare question for them. The shirkers are the ones who don't do well in school. The ones who don't do well in school are the ones who can't spell. The ones who can't spell bother other people with their dreadful spelling and grammar. But, that's just a theory. ---------------------------------------- Responder: Tiny_Sandwich Yes I know it's my question but I'm just glad someone responded. Your theory holds sound logic, however the issues with spelling and grammar extend to subjects even beyond homework questions. I have a feedback of many different categories including relationships and what have you. Even these are plagued by morbid interpretations of words that pains the eyes to read. Occasionally I have to re-write the question so I can understand what it is they're saying. So my new question is, how is it that people can fail this badly at spelling? Hell Wiki-answers HAS A SPELL CHECKER!! Any thoughts or stories on the subject?

Different and the same. The Union army was more structured and regimented, especially early in the war. They also had a more dependable food source and generally had better clothing (example: SHOES) Foraging for food was common on both sides, however. What is really striking is how similar both sides were. Both were having the same experience for the most part. Most were "green" to war and had different expectations of what war was like. These expectations were usually shattered when they encountered their first battle. Aiming suffered greatly early on which wasn't helped by the fact that smoothbore muskets were the norm for both sides. Many Rebs and Yanks retreated to the rear, often complaining of being "sick" or having some other magical injury suddenly appear. For the most part, Yanks and Rebs fought valiantly and were everything we look for in a soldier. In terms of camp life, which I find to be the most interesting, you can pretty much substitute Yankee or Rebel in most any situation because they both had similar experiences. There were many shirkers, or men who avoided camp duties. Both sides usually had a high disregard for sentry duty or guard duty in general. They both looked upon food as the most important facet of their daily routine aside from receiving letters from home. Both Yankee and Rebel complained of officers or anyone in command as being inept and looking out for their own self-interests. Both sides drank, quite alot. There was a story of an Irish soldier in a rebel camp being stopped by an officer and asked why the man was holding up his musket and looking down the barrel. To which he replied he thought something was jammed in it. He was really drinking whiskey out of it as his barrel was were he stored it when he snuck it into camp. Both were incredibly dirty and had lice and other pests on their bodies at all times. Both had grand snowball fights during winter quarters where descriptions of the fights played out like actual battle reports. If the two camps were close to each other there was also a lot of fraternizing between Rebels and Yankees. Gambling, debating, drinking, trading, everything. It really is amazing. If you want a couple of great books on the subject do not hesitate to read "The Life of Johhny Reb" and its companion "The Life of Billy Yank". Both are by Bell Irvin Wiley and are phenomenal.
