Mine are:
Blaziken (fire, fighting), Flamethrower, Sky Uppercut, Bulk Up, Aerial Ace
Gardevoir (psychic), Psychic, Calm Mind, Shock Wave, Reflect
Flygon (ground, dragon), Earthquake, Crunch, Double-Edge, Dragonbreath
Breloom (grass, fighting), Headbutt, Giga Drain, Mach Punch, Sky Uppercut
Wailord (water), Amnesia, Ice Beam, Strength, Water Spout
and Lanturn (electric, water), Surf, Thunderbolt, Confuse Ray, Attract.
But other good Pokemon to mix-and-match are:
Milotic (with Attract and Surf),
Altaria (with Dragon Dance),
Ninjask (with Swords Dance and Baton Pass),
Shedinja (with Shadow Ball),
Armaldo (with Battle Armor and Bulk Up TM),
Swellow (with Endeavor, Facade, Aerial Ace & Quick Attack),
Camerupt (with Eruption),
Absol (with Swords Dance),
Whiscash (with Earthquake, which it learns naturally by leveling up),
and Slaking, if you can get past Truant (with Focus Punch, Yawn, or Slack Off).
And in using older Pokemon originally from other regions:
Dodrio,
Houndoom,
Ursaring,
Donphan,
Starmie,
Electrode,
Jolteon or Espeon (evolve from Eevee),
Miltank,
or Alakazam or Machamp (use a Gamecube game to trade-evolve it if you can, like Pokemon Colosseum or XD).
For starters:
Torchic is always the best. Whiscash and Quagsire make Mudkip obsolete and Treecko is horrible when it evolves. One of the weakest of any generation, Sceptile only has speed going for it and nothing else. It's as bad as Thyphlosion or Meganinum.
you should choose torchic because fire and fighting is good at most hoenn gyms
If you evolve it to gliscor, yes, especially for sandstorm and stall teams.
All depends on u and the Pokemon and there stats. For starter teams: -blastoise/vaporeon -charizard/arcanine -venusaur/vileplume/eggecutor -dragonite -snorlax -pidgeot/dotrio/fearow
If you want to gain Hoenn Pokemon on Diamond, you will need a regular DS or DS lite, with the GameBoy slot. At the ingame start menu, there will be an option to "transfer Pokemon from game". but it will only appear if you have already defeated the Pokemon league. After you have beat them, then the Pal Park at the southern area of the map will be open. Go inside of the Park building, talk to the man at the counter and your good to go! Hope this helped you :D
You should have completed the nat dex. This gives you the chance to get Chicorita, cyndaquil, or totadile. You can only get one. MAKE A GOOD CHOICE :)
Kanto, which is the home of Goldenrod City, is the region where Goldenrod is. Which can be played on the newer games such as Heartgold or Soulsilver. Sapphire, however is a totally different region. The Hoenn region. In Sapphire, You only get to play in the Hoenn region. So Goldenrod city is basically non-existant. If you're talking about Soul Silver or Heartgold, you have to beat the Elite Four and it's champion, then look on your map in the Kanto Region. Good luck!
This website shows all sinnoh Pokemon, all though diamond has some kanto, jhoto and hoenn region Pokemon thrown in for good measure however tese are not shown on this website http://Pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/pokedex
well you can go to hoenn and sinnoh after you beat ur rival 250 times for hoenn and 500 times for sinnoh you can fight him at the Pokemon plataue once a day so ill take kinda long before you can go so good luck

You can get Pokemon emerald in your nearest game store, or on eBay. If you know other ways, that's fine, too. You should get emerald because you can catch Pokemon from the hoenn region, as well as johto. And the cool thing about it is that you can get this thing called the old sea map, which leads you to mew island. So good luck with that!

You need to beat the elite four, catch 50 different kinds of pokemon and then Bill will bring you to one island to talk about linking to the hoenn region. Then Bill will give you the rainbow pass which let's you go to islands 4-7. Good luck

#179 on the Hoenn Pokedex is Relicanth, the Rock Fish Pokemon. He can be found Underwater in the grass outside of Sootopolis City. PS: Relicanth is extremely rare. Catching one will take patience, but BE PERSISTANT. They are there, but in small numbers. Good luck.
Mudkip is good because Swampert, its third evolution, can learn Earthquake, one of the best attacks, and a good range of TMs and HMs like Toxic, Blizzard, Ice Beam, and Surf.
