What game. If Sapphire and Ruby, choose Torchic. If emerald, choose treecko. Actually....... All the starters are good. I have Pokémon Emerald and I chose a Mudkip ( I named it Muddy ) AND I BEAT THE GAME! It doesn't matter which starter you use. There are some times in the game that you need a strong grass type so I just caught a Tropius ( I named her Tina ). Everytime you need a strong type of pokémon IMPROVISE! MY pokémon team so far is Swampert/Muddy ( lv 98 ), Raquaza/Ralis ( lv 98 ), Tropius/Tina (lv 92 ), Milotic/Feebee ( lv 94 ), Crobat/Glitz ( lv 96 ), Regice/Rebecca ( lv 91 ).
