Yes you need to catch a Rayquaza then talk to the team Magma guy at Mt. Chimney. When you have Rayquaza first in your party then he will say "Nice Rayquaza can I have it."Then he will battle you and he has a Lv.100 Mightyena.If you beat him he will jump into the Volcano (Mt. Chimney) Then you need a Pokemon that knows the move dig. then use it while facing the volcano and then you will jump in. You will be in Team Magma's base.Although there is another entry to it. The guy that jumped in will be there then he will say."Wait! are you a member of Team Magma? Then say "No" then he will say "Do you want to take the quiz?" then say "Yes\ then write "Magma Volcano" DONT INCLUDE THE QUOTATION MARKS!!!!!!!! If you get it wrong, you have to start your game again. If you want to be in Team Magma.That's what my cousins friend said to me.I tried it and it works don't tell me if it doesn't work.I don't know how to get in to Team Aqua thought. Sorry about all the / I cant get rid of them.

team magma's base is located in near lilcove city. if you want a master ball you it will be in team magma's base. if you want it so badly you half to get it there or you won't be able to get it later in the game. anyway, you go to the east of lilcove city. at the beach there will be a magma grunt any in the water there will be wailer's blocking the you go left of the Wilmer's until there is a door in a cave. awesome master ball!!

You don't get the orb from Team Magma or Aqua. Its unobtainable in game , but you can use Gameshark

you start out as a boy or girl(doesn't matter). you pick a starter Pokemon and are off to your adventure. throughout the game you encounter team aqua and team magma. since this is Pokemon ruby your siding with team aqua, and team magma is your enemy. in Pokemon sapphire its the other way around. by the end of the game, you fail in stopping team magma, but you have to defeat/catch groundon. then everything is back to normal. this is just a very quick summary of the game. theres a lot to do. personally the game is great but fire red/leaf green are better.

Where do you find team rocket in Pokemon Emerald?
Team Rocket appears in many games but you won’t find them anywhere in the Hoenn region. You have Team Aqua and Team Magma. Team Aqua, led by Leader Archie, desires more water on the planet with the firm belief that people and Pokemon will benefit from it. Contrarily, Team Magma, led by Leader Maxie, wants to expand land mass on Earth with the same belief that people and Pokemon will benefit. Both teams are in direct opposition to each other which means you’ll be taking sides throughout the game, sometimes fighting alongside Team Aqua to battle against Team Magma and vice versa. They both race to Mt. Pyre to gather up the Red and Blue orbs to awaken Groudon (Team Magma) and Kyogre (Team Aqua) respectively, assuming that these legendary pokemon are on their side and will fulfill their wishes. Unfortunately they’ve used the wrong orbs to awaken Groudon and Kyogre, resulting in the two being highly aggressive and warring with each other. Their battle causes catastrophic weather changes and both teams realize that the world is in balance with the current level of water and land mass, and regret ever trying to mess with it. Rayquaza swoops in to calm the two legendaries and they return to their lairs to resume hibernation. This is the last time you see Team Aqua and Team Magma. If any good comes from these two rival teams, it’s that you can now catch Kyogre and Groudon post-game, and since Rayquaza had to wake up to do his thing, you can catch Rayquaza before fighting the League.

Well, if you haven't fought Team Aqua/Magma in their underwater base ... nothing. After you have done what I said above you will have to face the Poster Legendary Pokemon of the game and after you have defeated or caught it, the 8th and final Gym will be open.
