It's really nothing, just a texture used as a "plaque" of sorts. On the star statue in the courtyard, it's really only there for decoration.
The writing on it is supposed to be illegible, and any rumors spawned by it are false.
The same texture appears later in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Dodongo's Cavern.

no it says eternal star the e is blurry and there is no l is real 2401 because there are no numbers on the plaque
I don't know if you can or not but I've herd that in the n64 version in the courtyard the big star says "L is real 2401" so if you have super Mario 64 for the n64 version go in the boo courtyard and see if it says "L is real 2401" and then go on your Nintendo DS and try and get 2401 coins in every course but i don't believe it because you cant even get 200 coins in a course. Just try your best to get waliugi if you can.
No, but there is a Mario Super Sluggers.
Super Mario Bros. Z Is Super Mario Bros. Like No Other. Mario & Bowser Brawl, DragonBall Z Style!there is no such thingRe: What is super Mario bros Z?It truly is real watch it and you see your eyes will be flying out of you headhttp://www.flashportal.com/movies/super_mario_bros_z_ep_1.htmlAre you kidding me? yes there is such thing
You can do it on the DS version. On the N64 version, the statue says"L is Real 2401". You have to run around the fountain for one minute if Luigi is an unlockable character. That's why the answer is Yes.
