On the sims 3 how do you ask someone to move in?

you cant ask them but when they get married a box will come up to move the person into the house

You actually can. While talking to someone continue to do friendly things. IN the uper left hand corner where it show's the person you are talking to, it will say:

Lin thinks Ashley is being friendly.

Your person - Ashley - continues to do friendly things, and eventually the option will appear in the friendly tab. Just click on it and a screen will pop up.

Or, you can just use: testingcheatsenabled true.

Hold shift and click on the person you want to move in with you, and then click - Add to active family. This cheat code also works for maxing all movites of a family, and much more.

To get the cheat menu, press Crlt + Shift + C at the same time, and it will pop up. Need to get it off? Escape button will do, or type in exit and hit enter.

If you want to move in with someone, you have to go to edit town in the options button, click on the active household, and move out the person or people you want, then click on the family you want them to be in, or the house, and click add to selected family.
