Is snivy a good starter Pokemon in Pokemon white?

Snivy and its evolutions have no level-up moves of types other than Normal or Grass. It can learn Aerial Ace (Flying) and Dragon Tail (Dragon) via TM, but that still leaves it with no moves that aren't resisted by Steel.

In Black 2 and White 2, it gets Aqua Tail (Water) to help with the Steel problem. The type combination Water/Grass/Flying/Dragon can hit everything at least neutrally.

The strongest Pokemon in Black and White is Oshawott. He is a well rounded and has about equal attack and deffence. That's one of the reasons why i am going to pick him. Oshawott will garenteed a easy time in black and white. Tepig is the second best. He has a strong defence and a pretty good attack. If you want a slightly harder time while playing the game go with tepig. The worst is Snivy. He has more attack than deffence but compared to the others his perfomance is worse.
