ANSWER #1: Well im not sure wether granite is better then rune (i hear alot of rumours) but I can run from the G.E to falador with full granite with only lvl 9 agility and that makes like no difference....
it is only a little better. right now, its close to being almost 100k more than rune pl8. its really heavy, and only give alittle bit more than the rune pl8. i would stick with the rune if i were you. . .another one is dragon pl8 skirt and legs. same stats, but the legs are alomst 1m and the skirt is like 170k.
ANSWER #2: Granite is better defence stats apart from the helm so if i was you i would buy full granite but with a rune full helm that way you have the most amount of defence stats and its lighter than if you had the granite helm on
I believe that would be the Tetsu Body. It can be obtained via the player-owned ports. A degradable version can be bought from other players. It is possible that no player has gotten to the point where he can make such armour yet (as of January 2013), but these armour items should become available soon.
2 quest points, 18,650 strength and defence exp, the ability to wear a rune platebody and green dragonhide body, access to Crandor, ability to get anti dragon shields off Duke Horacio, access to melzar's maze and dragon crest on herald capes.
You don't. After using it in combat for a short while, it will disintegrate. If you don't want this, get the normal version (without "corrupt" in its name) instead.
Excl wears: Top- Varrock Body 3 Legs- White Platelegs Boots- White Boots Gloves- White Gloves Cape+Hood- Quest Skill Cape
No body can tell how long it will take it depends on your methods and the places your fish ... But if u go to rune tips it'll help allot!
It is possible to receive a Dragon Platebody and it just depends on your luck to see if you get it.
based on mid prices in G.E. full granite including granite helm (28k), granite body (126k), granite legs (263k) and granite shield (38k) it would only cost about 450k.
No, they are good protection against rangers though.

To get the rune platebody, complete the quest Dragon Slayer. Then talk to Oziach in Edgeville. He is in the last house if you go in to Edgeville from the Grand Exchange.
Dragon plate body and chain body are both pretty expensive pieces of armor but a good idem is fighters torso i know your thinking you have to do some dumb mini-game but the torso is very good it is better than a rune platebody and is the only plantebody that gives a strength bounes other than bandos platebody which costs around 20M-26M
The full rune armour set was 300-400k but now its less then 200k. A rune platebody cost about 60-80k but you can buy it from Oziazh for around 65k but only after dragon slayer.
You can't make granite armor...the only way to obtain it is to kill monster or other events. You can obtain the granite body from barbarian outpost (idk what the requirements are to buy it) and the other pieces you have to kill something i think. Look on Sals realm of runescape or rune hq for further help.
Iron chain mail provides better protection against slashing attacks due to its flexibility and ability to cover more of the body compared to a bronze platebody. However, the bronze platebody offers superior defense against crushing and piercing attacks due to its solid structure. Ultimately, the choice between the two depends on the type of combat you anticipate facing.
You may get rune armour by going back to Oziach after killing the dragon. He will say that you succeeded and you will finish the quest. You may then buy a rune platebody (or green dragonhide body) from him. You may also buy rune armour from the other players or the Grand Exchange. A batholith would likely be a better buy for mining granite as it is a larger, more extensive body of granite that would likely contain more valuable resources. Sills are smaller, more localized bodies of granite and may not provide as much material for mining.
