You need your PSP to be upgraded to the latest firmware, in order to access the PSN and download games.
Right now there isn't. If you want to get custom firmware for psp version 6.20 you need to downgrade to custom firmware using a Pandora battery.
From what I hear one must have a Pandora battery and a magic memory stick. These devices can only be made on a psp with custom firmware, or a psp with version 1.5.
Yes, you can The firmware goes across board to all models of PSP. This includes the Customer Firmware and the Original Firmware.
The newest known firmware for the PSP is 5.54
I'm sorry, but you can not downgrade it back to firmware 6.2 Any firmware after around version 5.5 cannot be downgraded i think. It also depends whether you have a psp 2000 or psp 3000 I have a psp 3000 and it was too late for me to downgrade
New version comes out is the best version but i should be custom firmware because without custom firmware you can not play free games in PSP.

Try updating the firmware, USB connectivity was added and upgraded through the releases.
You Can Do It Using Pandora Battery.
If you connect your PSP to your PC with a USB cable, you can manually delete the upgrade installer from your memory card. This is not to be confused with downgrading the PSP firmware itself. Once you run an upgrade, the PSP's firmware is flashed and upgraded, deleting the update file won't do anything about that.
That Means You Have Upgraded Your Psp From CFW To OFW.You Need To Downgrade Your Psp Using Pandora Battery From OFW TO CFW. Don't Try This At Home. Give It To Any Show Which Can Do This. I Hope This Works... I Tried This Method Once And It Worked.
It depends on the game. If the game needs the latest firmware, it can't be game shared to a PSP without that update.
it depends on your psp. for example i am using PSP-2000 which i use firmware 4.01 and for my PSP-3000 i am using firmware 5.03.
