No, not at all. All it will do is void any warranty you have on the PSP.
While the PSP gains the ability to illegally play copyrighted media, keep in mind most PCs can do this by default, and there are many valid and legal uses for custom firmware. So it's not illegal, it depends what you do with it.
Right now there isn't. If you want to get custom firmware for psp version 6.20 you need to downgrade to custom firmware using a Pandora battery.
get a custom firmware ya hackeer
custom firm ware is a modification of the psp that lets you use cheats, put ps1 games in the psp ,and much more. you can get custom firmware by makeng a Pandora battery and a magic memmory stick.(for psp 2000,and older)......for psp 3000 you have to get hue or somthing like that .
The thing that powers the PSP. It also enables you put put Custom FirmWare on the PSP
From what I hear one must have a Pandora battery and a magic memory stick. These devices can only be made on a psp with custom firmware, or a psp with version 1.5.
Custom Firmware is illegal<-----EDIT:Thats not what he was asking, please asnwer the question
No its not...that's why you can download them from PlayStation Network.
There's a chance it will break it, it allows you to downgrade your firmware so you can put on custom firmware, this is ILLEGAL. Also, if you do it wrong it would destroy your psp

No.
New version comes out is the best version but i should be custom firmware because without custom firmware you can not play free games in PSP.
I'm not sure what you mean by "the mod" but I think you may be referring to a "custom firmware". If so, you can safely format your PSP's memory stick without removing the custom firmware. This is because the custom firmware is stored in the internal PSP flash memory, not on your memory stick. If you want to remove the custom firmware, you will need to just install an official firmware onto the psp. The easiest way to do this is to put in a PSP game that comes with a firmware upgrade and choose that option. Then I would recommend having the psp do a Network Update.
Custom firmware is needed to do it, and if custom firmware is installed on the PSP in use, a plugin can be installed.
for psp
No, you can't.
get a custom firmware ya hackeer
No. If you have psp 3000 it will but any other psp it will work.
