The first step is to go to Celestic Town and talk to the elder/Cynthia's grandma, who will show you an old book she found in the ruins. After that, you can find Palkia's orb and Dialga's orb in a cave on your way to the top in the snowy area. (You will need the HM Waterfall and must have defeated the necessary gym leader to use it inside this cave in order to reach the area the two orbs are located in.) Once you're at Spear Pillar, you will find a purplish portal near the area you encountered Giratina. Simply press the 'A' button on the portal in to challenge the legendary seen inside. Once you fight and either defeat or capture the first one, you must go back outside the cave and re-enter Spear Pillar to fight the second legendary. Remember you must have already defeated the Elite Four Pokemon League and beaten Cynthia for Palkia and Dialga!
Buy another pre-owned Platinum, Pearl or Diamond, re-start the game if the previous owner traded them off or because they hadn't made much progress. Then, trade the masterballs over to your current game.
It is hard and effort-making work, but it is worth it.
