It doesn't really. Both the games are really different. In MySims, you are in a town helping people out with whatever needs to be done, and in MySims Kingdom, your going from island to island as a wandolier with a magic wand helping out other Sims. They might have a few characteristics, like you have to go and help Sims, but there isn't many similarities.
