When an update for a game is released that information is stored in the Harddrive. If you update a game in your harddrive and take it to a friend's to play the update stays with your harddrive and you need to update it again at your friend's house. If you put the game in an Xbox 360 it will not change the game disc, unless you scratch it. There is no point in putting any PS3 game disc in a Xbox 340 they will not play ever
