umm ok this doesnt make this much since, if your asking if gmod damages your computer, it depends on which gmod you have (if you got it free its gmod 9, if you got it for $10-13 its gmod 10/11). in gmod 9 there were LUA viruses, in gmod 10 there are fake addon viruses so you should just scan for viruses when you download addons (www.garrysmod.org). if you play online there are some players who find it enjoying to spam props and nukes until you crash. also if your computer is lower-end then some of the maps and addons can crash it. but OVERALL no, garrys mod does not damage your computer, some addons and players do. just be careful which addons you download. if your just playing gmod to build contraptions, probably no dammage there. OK now if your asking about some sort of computer in gmod (PCmod?) that damages players or something like that try www.facepunch.com/index.php

Addons are quite simple to install into Gmod 10/11:-Firstly you need a properly structured addon (should be a folder containing other folders and a text file called "info.txt". The text inside "info.txt" should also be structured properly. As long as the maker of the addon has done this, all you need to do is copy the folder to:%SteamDirectory%\steamapps\%SteamUsername%\garrysmod\garrysmod\addonsTo clear things up:-%SteamDirectory% means the folder that steam is installed to. I don't know how to fix that problem... but you can have gmod in steam (that means no torrents)... Search in google or yahoo(recommended) undead patch! then once you downloaded it, Exit steam if it's open... you should put undead patch in your steam folder! (if you put it in a wrong place, you will get an error that says "Steam.dll cannot be found". now start undead patch then answer some question (if it ask), now you should open steam then it you will see that all of the games are free!!!! search for garry's mod in the list and download it! and.... You have garry's mod without downloading many cracked gmod or something.... REMEMBER!!!! YOU MUST HAVE HALF LIFE 2!!!! (you can download it in the list XD)

There. 1st of All. you need to put Gmod9 in for example C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\ Then place the Gmod9 folder in SourceMods\ But you do need HL2 Installed. If you Dont have it Installed there is Various ways of Running it (Though Bloom Wont work Without Half Life 2)

Just Get the undead patch, then get steam, make an account, open up the undead patch, and click enter, y, then enter again, then you have every windows game! INCLUDING GMOD!, it might take a while to download, you cant go online. But you can play offline and enjoy sandbox physics!
