Ok, I have decided to improve my own answer since IMVU has been through a major update. Now you can sign out 2 different ways on the new client. One, while you are in IMVU on the very top of the screen on the right hand side there is a link that says Sign Out. Also you can right click the IMVU icon in the right hand corner of your taskbar and click sign out there. Hope it helps!
