How do you sell your house on sims 3 for PC?

You select your Sim, and then the inventory icon (a backpack down the bottom of the screen).

You then select the mobile phone icon that appears in the inventory. There will be different actions that appear but you need to select 'move'.

Once you have done this you move into a new house or lot and then your house will automatically be old after you leave and you will get the profits from it.

While your moving if you select the sell furniture button you will get a higher profit and move into a fully furnished home.
