Playing Runescape can be addicting and fun at the same time. Killing dragons, creating your own house, and casting magical spells at other people are some of the things that you can do in the game with a membership.
Here below I will tell you how to go about playing Runescape:
---- Steps on how to play Runescape:
1. Go to the website's page, Runescape.com. Click on "Create a Free Account", if you are new.
2. Avoid becoming a paying member unless you are sure that it is going to be worth it, or if you are working on a secondary account for a specific skill. It takes until your character has good stats.
3. Click on the "Play Runescape (Existing User) button after you have created your account. You will have the choice of only low detail if your non member, but high detail becomes available for payed members.
4. Choose a world that you want to play in. The screen is color coded by members and free worlds, tells you how many players are in each world, what activity is currently ongoing in that specific world, and what country the world server is in.
---- Tips on Playing Runescape:
* Avoid Scams in Runescape, know what scams are, and avoid them as much as possible. If you don't know the price of an object during a trade or you are skeptical, use the Grand Exchange, or just look at the bottom of the trade screen, which will tell you how much an item is worth. * Find the Right Runescape Combat Type for you with the skills that are provided in the game. * Understand that it could take a few months to get a decent level in a skill, depending on how much you play. * Remember set your recovery questions, preferably before you start playing the first time. It's more security towards your account, plus Runescape NPC's wont have to hunt you down to remind you. * Try to complete many quests. Some of them give you additional skill points, extra rewards, or special access to areas and shortcuts. Try to do quests around your level. * If you are called a bad name, or something else, report the person and put them in your ignore list, they might add you and annoy you. * Play RuneScape for as long as you can. But remember,do not play to much, otherwise you might get addicted, and that would be very bad. * Be sure to visit the Stronghold of Player Safety and the Stronghold of Security. Not only do you get to lean how to be safe on RuneScape, you get a few new emotes and quite a bit of money. * If people say that you are a noob, just ignore it (not the player) and tell them that they were a noob at one point in their life.
---- Take precaution whilst Playing Runescape:
* People may not be nice around beginners or low level characters. * Do not cuss, or hack Runescape in anyway. You could be banned. * Please read the rules thoroughly before reporting anyone. False reporting can fall under misuse of customer support and can get you banned. * Do not share accounts with other people, including friends, family members or people you know * Although RuneScape is a good game, it can become addicting and can cause social problems if played to excessive lengths, a good tip is to play the game because you are enjoying it (chatting and such WHILE you level your skills) rather than because you WANT to get a skill level, NEVER force yourself to stay on until you get a level (unless you are below 5k from your next level and you are training something like strength). * Sometimes other players trick you and say that you can have free membership but this is fake. Don't trust them. * Only enter your RuneScape password on http://www.runescape.com/, or http://www.funorb.com/. Any other site may steal your RuneScape account. * Do not visit the Stronghold of Security without setting a bank pin and security questions. Also, be sure to have good armour and food with you. * Don't report anyone who calls you "noob". Every single player in RuneScape was a noob at some point in time. Simply add them to your ignore list and mind your own business while they waste their time insulting low levels.

This was named 'Devious Mud' but was not open to public. They then created Runescape (now called runescape classic or runescape 1) and due to the popularity of it, they created runescape 2. Everything on runescape classic got xferred to your account in rs2. This is how rares happened. Eg, disks of returning. After the wilderness update, the trade update and the Grand Exchange update, many people wanted to play Rsc again. So they re open it to anyone else that wishes to play every 6 months.
