How do you make your first rainbow in harvest moon tree of tranquility?

Well, first you have to get the second half of the quilt. I'm assuming that you already have the first half from Hamilton, but I think the cutscene comes along as you play. Then talk to Gill, and he will say he will talk to you about it when you house is a level two. After you have it at level two, then he'll say something. Then people will start saying that Hamilton is a good mayor and all, but he doesn't really get much done. Then Hamilton will ask if you if you will fix the clocktower. SAY YES!!!! This is where you will find the second half of the quilt. You know the "special" trees around the island? They're Alan's Tree (Brownie Ranch) Ben's Tree (Maple Lake District), and Daren's Tree (right by the Waffle Town Square). Take out your watering can, and go over to Daren's Tree. There should be a green flower right by the trunk. If you have your watering can equipped, then when you go over right by the flower, press A. Then you will see a cutscene involving the little Harvest Sprite, Daren. He will give you his rainbow recipie. You have to collect all of the ingredients in the recipe, then go talk to him. (you do this by equipping your watering can and doing the same thing you did to talk to him the first time.) To see the recipe, hold down C on the Nunchuck to access the General Menu. Then, using the d pad on the Wiimote, scroll up or down to story items. You can access the recipe there. The recipe is:
Good Herb Fish (make it with the oven, put in like two fish from the river, and an herb)
Grilled Yam (buy a yam from souffle farm or grow it yourself the put it on top of a bonfire on one of the beaches. You have to buy matches and use them to light the fire)(you can also purchase it a the spring and summer flea markets from maya)
An Apple (I think you can get it @ souffle farm in the fall or you can buy it @ the spring and summer flea markets from Simon)
Common Seashell (you can find it at Cream Beach which is the one by On The Hook)
And I'm pretty sure the last thing is Carp (you can fish it out of the Caramel River)

Once the game says that Calvin has arrived, you can find him on the 10th floor of the Ganache mine.

How do you water the harvest spirits in harvest moon?
on tree of tranquility, you need both halves of the quilt, you hold your watering can and go up to the flower. If you look at the button guide in the top left corner, it should say "check" or whatever. Press a or that button, and the harvest sprite should appear, and a cutscene will occur. The sprite will then tell you the ingredients for the rainbow, and you must find or make these and bring all of them to the sprite at once, and you should have your rainbow. P.s. If you need help making or finding something, talk to the harvest sprite. Yu can ask him how to find or make that item.
