How do you make enemies surrender on '007 Nightfire'?

You walk up behind them slowly (crouching if possible) with your pistol drawn. Once you get close, they will do a double-take looking at you, turn around, raise their hands in the air, and drop their gun. It's fun to stun them and then punch them to death, just for fun.
