You will need to earn 10,000LP with Muffy before her Heart Color will change.
To do that talk to her and give her a gift once per day. Gifts only raise LP once per day so don't bother giving more then one. The more she likes the gift the more LP she will gain.
Also make sure you don't do anything to lower her LP. Littering, answering incorrectly during Heart Events, and letting your animals die will cause her to lose LP for your character.
