It's just like trying to find one in the wild, you've got a 1/8192 chance. But in Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver, you have a 1/2048 chance of hatching one if you breed your Pokemon with a Pokemon of a different nationality.
Example: I put my Ditto in the daycare with a Pikachu from Japan. You just go on the GTS and find a Pokemon that isn't from your country.

you just have to encounter the Pokemon that is going to hatch out of the egg about 1000 times and if your lucky it'll be a shiny Pokemon hope this helped:)
No, the egg will not be shiny. However, it is possible that the egg will hatch into a shiny Pokemon, but the chances of getting a shiny Pokemon from the egg are not any higher than they would be if the ditto were not shiny.
Yes, I believe so, but its very rare.
To get a shiny Dratini in Pokemon Crystal you need to find one in the wild or hatch one. This is extremely rare though with a 1 in 8192 chance of the wild or hatched Dratini being a shiny. There is no way in Pokemon Crystal to improve these odds.
Its not easy but its worth the try First get a Blaziken a Swampert And a sceptile at a level 100 trained legally without rare candy or any cheating device. Then get Groudon Kyogre and Rayquaza catched with a pokeball.(its hard yes) Then get a shiny Latias ( only latias) Then obtain all the gold symbols in The battle frontier with your Pokemon not traded. Then go to the daycare. The old man will give you an egg. Hatch it and from the egg it will hatch a shiny ditto. Put any Pokemon with this shiny ditto and the Pokemon in the egg will be shiny. Congratulations!!!
