In the Home screen of IMVU, there is a tab that says My Room. Click on that and it will take you to whatever room is set as your default room. Default room being the room it takes you to when you invite someone to a chat. In the My Room tab you can set furniture and poses in your room to customize it as you like.
While in a room you can change what room to load as your default by clicking on the Scenes tab. Move your mouse over the room you want as your default and a little i will appear, click the i and it will say the name of the room and the developer. Right above that, on the top will say Set As Default. Click that.
