1. go to veilstone and get in the galactic wearhouse
2.get the galactic key , an item on the lowest floor
3.then go to the galactic veilstone tower and find your way to cyrus
4.battle him and get the master ball
5.KEEP GOING and get into the room that looks like a lab
6. go through the door
7.battle the guy by the machine and hit the red button when you win
8. now it will be open

After that you end up at Sendoff Spring (where you go to catch Giratina in Pokemon D/P). then from there go to the villiage south of lake valor and then go left and you should pass a guy in overalls and then you're on the path to get to Sunnyshore City which is where the 8th gym is located. =]
