Ok it may seem strange to you but this is fairly simple. Just play through the game to the rustboro city. when there you must beat gym. after you beat gym leader you have to do the team aqua/team magma run through of the rusterf tunnel . i call it whismer cave as that is the only Pokemon possible to find in there.but after that a man comes to thank you and brings you to the Devon corperation. there you will get a pokegear. if you don't get it then go to give steven letter at the next city.but with the pokegear you can check trainers you met,see the map, and check Pokemon conditions.
