u have to make the hammer urself. to do this u might want to go to ur workbench and go to tools. if it still doesn't show up under"tools" u need to make a stronger workbench. to do this, walk away from the workbench, click the start button to bring up the main menu, and then click plans, then special plans. here u should find a better workbench. i think it is called a bamboo workbench. get a new workbench and then u can make the hammer
