First of all, there are two ways to get Sonic in the Brawl: you can finish the SE(Subspace Emmisary); or you can play 10 characters in classic mode with or without continues on any difficulty level. (Personally, 10 characters on easy classic mode took about an hour and a half, when SE took more like thirty-two hours, so I would go with the second choice.
