How do you get sims in sims 3 to marry?

Well you have two choices: With Cheats or Without cheats.

With Cheats- Press: Command-Shift-C, then type in testingcheatsenabled true. After that you can easily go to your sims relationships and click and drag the bar under their photo. They will let you until your best friend with them. Then it gets really easy to get that sim to like you. Easier if your sim is Hopeless Romantic. If your sim is not Hopeless Romantic, you should do some romantic interactions with that sim and compliment them and ask them their sign. Depending on the sim, they might let you have your first kiss with them. If not, keep on doing romantic options with them until you can confess attraction. With the Hopeless Romantic, you can just go under special and confess. After that, just keep on doing the same thing until they are Engaged. Once their Engaged you can throw a wedding party or have a private wedding. Under the Romantic options, there is a get married option. Bam Your sims are married.

Without cheats: Harder. Have to become really good friends with the sims. Then you just do the same thing without the cheats.
