How do you get out of a pitch black cave in minecraft with out anything?

what you do is press escape or Esc on your keyboard that will make minecraft pause. Then go to options the change to difficulty to hard wait for night then wait for something to kill you. After you respawn change it back to easy or peaceful or what you were playing on.
