Regular BERRIES. (Oran Berries in HeartGold).
There isn't a Berry Master in Heart Gold and Soul Silver. If you want berries, tell your mother in Heart Gold to save your money, and she will buy lots of berries for you.
In Pokemon Gold, Silver and Crystal you need to feel seven berries to the Milktank in Moo Moo Farm. The kinds of berries don't matter. But in the remakes Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver the berries fed to it need to be Oran Berries.
You don't trade the shards for stones, you trade them for berries. You trade them with the man standing outside the Pokemon Centre in Violet City, and you'll get 3 berries from a specific set depending on the colour of your shard
after you give the miltank all the seven oran berries (its random the number of oran berries mine was 14 there diffrent oran berries you have to give it some times)they will give you the seal case.

yes you can plant berries using the berry planter, only 4 spaces each time
To get more oran berries, you have to get a Pokemon that can learn thief or have pickup ability. Use thief when you see Teddiursa or catch Teddiursa to use pickup. Good luck:)
1. look under the pokemons summary of the food that Pokemon likes and feed him poffins accordingly 2. feed them special berries that make them like you such as pomeg berries, kelpsey berries, qualot berries, hondew berries, grepa berries and tamato berries. Note. these berries will also lower the pokemons stats 3. use your Pokemon alot in battles, contests, walks etc. 4. if your Pokemon likes to rest ... let it rest in the PC boxes (only sometimes though). If it likes to fight ... use it in lots of battles etc... (find out what it likes to do under its summary)

You can't keep one personally but you can use them in contest halls. Then, you can make pokeblocks. But first you need a Pokeblock case to keep all pokeblocks you make. You would need berries. Lots and lots of berries.
