Rallycross is a simple sport to enter, now i know there are some people that are not satisfied competing in the sport unless they have a suped up subi or evo but those are the guys that will never truly enjoy the sport for what it is. I have seen a simple Ford Focus run circles around top dollar cars (think of the $ saved) and if you do mess the car up it wont be the end of the sport for you but rather another lesson learned.
So to sum it all up
-do your homework on the sport
-think small, go BIG
-get any car under 1k that runs
-keep learning and improving
-remember racing like Tanner Foust and Ken Block shouldn't be your goal, its to have fun. also keep in mind the race may be the main spectacle however the barbecue at these places is what really keeps people coming back for more.
