A Ghost is a downloaded copy of a Duelist either from the Konami posted Wi-Fi section, or from individual Wireless Connection Duels.
Whenever you Duel another person using the Wireless Connection, you automatically download their Deck and their avatar under the "Ghost" section. These Ghosts can be Dueled in the Free Duel Mode, or used as Tag Duel Partners in the World Championship Mode (note that you CANNOT use them for Tag Duels in the Story Mode).
Another type of Ghost are the ones downloaded on Wi-Fi. These Ghosts are posted every month by Konami and are usually more monsters or 5D's character parodies. As with the above Ghosts, you may Duel them in Free Duel Mode, however, you may NOT use them as Tag Duel Partners.
