To earn simoleons with cheats just open the cheat bar (ctrl + shift + c) and type in the following code - pressing enter when you've finished - depending on the amount of money you want:
'kaching' = 1,000 simoleons
'motherlode' = 50,000 simoleons
Otherwise you'll have to earn the money manually through hobbies, jobs, and other part-time jobs.
