You can earn duel points (DP) by defeating duelists:
- in World Championship mode,
- in 5D's Story Mode,
- over "DS Wireless Communications,"
- and over "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection" (WFC)
You earn DP when you lose to opponents in any of these modes, as well.
DP can also be obtained the first time you solve the Duel Puzzles given by the Owner in the bar in New Domino City.
