In Heartgold and Soulsilver, you don't need it. Put Rotom in the first slot and enter Silph Company in Saffron City. Rotom will allow the elevator to work, and you will notice 5 items in the room: Lawn Mower Refrigerator Fan I think washing Machine and I think microwave oven go to the item that you want Rotom to turn into. and don't forget to read those notes in the room. You can have all 5 forms of Rotom 6, if you count the original form.

If you want all 1 Rotom forms from Diamond, then look at the tv XD.You must be talking about platinum, The new 4 forms are only aviable to platinum. So DP cannot get any other forms but the normal one, when Platinum comes out, then you may wait for the Rotom event where youll get a key, go to Galactic HQ, and use key on the secret wall.

In heartgold or soulsilver ds version, NOT THE EMULATOR VERSION, all you have to do is trade a rotom over from d/p/pt and go to silph co headquarters in saffron city. go to that broken elevator with rotom the FIRST Pokemon in your party(FIRST Pokemon in your party, or it wont work) and you should be took to a room with 5 appliances. Select one and rotom will want to know a specialised move. Then he will be that rotom forme. The only way to get back or change is to select the empty space or give it to daycare center.
