P.S. Everyone has different strategies. Just try what's best for YOU. My friend gave me "hints" that ended up with me killing Giratina and Hetran... I was lucky that I ALWAYS save before fighting a Legendary.

AnswerPalkia is at the top of Spear Pillar. To get to Spear Pillar you need to make your way up Mount Coronet. I find the best way to do this is from Oreburgh City and head up the muddy slope on the east side of route 207. From there my memory is a little bit hazy, so you're on your own getting up there. Once you make it up though, you have to battle a Team Galactic (henceforth TG) Grunt, double battle with your rival against two TG Commander's, and then your rival heals your Pokemon for a battle with Cyrus, the TG Boss.

Next up is the Psychic Trio, Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie. These can be found after obtaining six or seven badges in the three caves of Sinnoh; however, to initiate the quest, you need to go to the library in the North-west of Canalave City. On the top floor you will find Professor Rowan and Dawn/Lucas as well as your rival. These guys will fill you in on their research, and then tell you to go to one of the three caves, I think it's Lake Valor. In there you will find TG Grunts. Around here my memory gets hazy again, but I can say that you have to enter the cave at least once. After there's nothing else to do in Lake Valor, head over to Verity Lakefront and meet up with the other's again. This is where Mesprit is found. It will run after you try to enter a battle, so use your Marking Map Poketch App to find what route it is in. Mesprit also retains damage done to it during battles, so be careful. The other two in the trio can be found by going back to the other caves in the region. I think Uxie is in Lake Valor and Azelf is in Lake Acuity.

Giratina can be found only after obtaining the National Pokedex. When you get the Nat. Dex you should see a new path open up to the east of route 214 (South of Veilstone, North-East of Pastoria). This is the area Giratina is found in. To get to it you need to have something with Defog, and something with Rock Smash and Rock Climb. Follow Spring Path (the new area) to the end. You will end up in Sendoff Spring. In the North-East of Sendoff Spring you will see an area on a rock wall you can climb up. Do so, then head around to the back (going to the right avoids much more grass than going left does). Rock Climb down the back section and enter the cave to the left. This cave is Turnback Cave and is home to much mystery. Use Defog so that you can actually see where you're going, and travel straight ahead. What you are trying to achieve in this cave is to see three pillars before travelling through 30 rooms. the 31st room will take you back to the beginning of the cave, as will going through a door and then turning around and going back through the same door, even if it's the 14th door you go through. That is why this cave is called Turnback Cave. When you make it to Giratina it'll be at level 70, so make sure you have some strong Pokemon with you. I personally find Palkia to be the best, as Giratina is weak against Ice types. It is also weak against Ghost, Dragon and Dark-types. It is resistant to Normal, Fighting, Poison, Bug, Grass, Fire, Water and Electric. Normal and Fighting have absolutely no effect on Giratina whatsoever, and one of it's moves (Shadow Force) has no effect on these types, so take a couple with you to switch into battle when it says "The wild GIRATINA vanished instantly!" I find a level 66 Palkia with the move Avalanche the most effective, as two hit's will take it down to critical health. Take heaps (50+) Dusk balls, as even at low HP it is incredibly hard to catch (took me four or five days).

Cresselia is found at Fullmoon Island, and to get here you need to go into the sailors house near the boat dock. Talk to the sick boy's mother, and then go back outside and talk to the sailor. He will take you to Fullmoon Island. Like Mesprit, when you try to enter a battle with Cresselia, it will run, but can be chased down with the Marking Map. When Cresselia runs off at Fullmoon Island it will leave a feather, pick this up and give it to someone in the family who took you there (I don't remember who, one of the parents). After this Cresselia roams Sinnoh and like Mesprit, retains damage after it runs on it's first available turn, so use fast Pokemon to hit it before it runs.

Last up of all the in-game Legendaries (without migrating the Regi's from Generation 3) is Heatran. Heatran can be found at the top of Stark Mountain. To get to him (yes, him, Heatran is a male only species) you have to go through Stark Mountain first with a guy by the name of Buck (quite a tough task as there are many double battles and strong (level 55 or so) wild Pokemon. When you reach Heatran's cavern at the top of Stark Mountain, you will notice that Heatran is not there, but Buck doesn't seem to care or notice. He instead picks up an item which awakens Heatran. After this you have to go back to the survival area and talk to him and/or his grandfather in a house west of the Pokemon centre and pokemart. After talking to him you will be able to go back up Stark Mountain and have an encounter with Heatran, he will be at level 70, so make sure you have a couple of high level Pokemon with you. For Pearl users, I recommend you use the same Palkia (similar level, moveset) as you used for Giratina. I wouldn't go higher than 70, as Heatran will likely be put into the red HP band, or at the very least the lowest possible HP level in the yellow band
