At the start of the game, you won't have a fishing rod, but there is a way to get it.
On a sunny Day, between 20'clock to 40'clock, go into Galen's house. (Bear in mind, Nina must be in there, because she is included in the event) Go inside once you have met the requirments, and you will trigger the event. Galens house is the one in the middle of the crops!
Please also bear in mind you MUST have an empty free slot in your inventory, otherwise you will miss the event.
