How do you get a border collie in harvest moon tree of tranquility?

In Harvest Moon, tot, there is a border collie that lives on Brownie Ranch. Assuming that you don't already have access to browinie ranch, you must wait until your character has been living on waffle island for a year, then go to the ganche mine district where there is a boulder blocking the path. Owen will remove the boulder. Then, walk around the exterior of brownie ranch until you find the border collie. Talk to him several times daily until he likes you to the extent of one hart (you can check this by holding "c" on the numchuck). This may take a while, but be paitent and keep trying. Once he likes you to one heart, give him perfect/shining milk (this can be goats or cows milk- they both do he same thing) once everyday or as often as possible, and he wil start to like you more. You can only get shining and perfect milk from your own cow; they don't sell it. When he asks you if you want to adopt him (this will occur when he likes you to about 6 hearts), keep in mind that this is your final desision, because if you say no he will NOT ask again.
