In Pokemon Yellow, the only starter Pokemon is a Pikachu. However, the three starter Pokemon from the Red and Blue games are all available in the following places: Bulbasaur - Go to the house to the left of the Pokemon Center. Go to the girl and she will ask you to take care of Bulbasaur ONLY if Pikachu is very happy. Say "Yes" and you get a Bulbasaur. Charmander - A boy at the north of Route 24 will ask you to take care of his Charmander. From Cerulean City, go up the Nugget Bridge. Then go to the top left corner. Talk to the boy. Say "Yes" and you get Charmander. Squirtle - Go to Vermillion City. Now go to the lower-middle part of it. You will see an officer standing there. She will tell you that she has a misbehaving Squirtle and she wants an experienced trainer to take care of it. Defeat Lt. Surge (3rd gym leader) then talk to her again. She will ask you to take care of Squirtle. Say "Yes" and you get a Squirtle. IMPORTANT - In all of these cases, make sure you have room in your party unless you want the pokemon to go into storage.
Squirtle is not available in Pokemon Crystal. Squirtle can only be found in Pokemon Red, Blue, or Yellow. Squirtle can be traded to Crystal from those titles.
You cannot catch charmander in Pokemon yellow, you receive one from trainer Damian on route 24.
You can get bulbasaur at this lady's house in Cerulean City. She is a Pokemon nurse who catches Pokemon and nurses them back to health
You get Pikachu at the beginning of the game, after you can get Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle. (:
I'm not too sure about Squirtle, but both Bulbasaur and Charmander are Lvl.10
No you have to trade either from red blue or yellow or Pokemon stadium.
Bulbasaur- Tackle, Growl Charmander- Scratch, Growl, Ember Squirtle- Tackle, Tail Whip, Bubble
The Kanto region games have these Pokemon as the starters in the beginning. This includes Pokemon Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, and FireRed, LeafGreen.

What starter Gary picks all depends on what Pokemon you choose to start with... If you pick Bulbasaur as your starter Gary will get Charmander If you pick Charmander as your starter Gary will get Squirtle If you pick Squirtle as your starter Gary will get Bulbasaur If you are playing Pokemon Yellow and you are forced to start with Pikachu, then Gary will get EeveeGary in heart gold/soul silverexeggutor, machamp, arcanine, rhydon, gyarados, pidgeot
pokemon yellow you start with pikachu, you don't choose in this one. you get pikachu at level 5 and it will not allow you to evolve it even with a thunderstone. squirtle, charmander and bulbasaur you have to get from people and i think you get them all at level 5

The starter Pokemon for (Red, Blue, Green, Fire Red, & Leaf Green) are: Bulbasaur lvl 5, Charmander lvl 5, and Squirtle lvl 5. The starter Pokemon for the other Generation I game, Yellow, is Pikachu.
No. Pokemon Red and Blue came first, with your starters being the usual Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charmander, while Yellow came with Pikachu, who expressis His/Her/Its fellings with pictures that come on screen when you talk to Him/Her/It.
